Teaching objectives

Acquire detailed technical knowledge and locate all elements of the PUMA SA330 - Ba base systems,Acquire detailed knowledge of the specific optional features of PUMA versions held by the French Air Force, Acquire detailed knowledge and locate the components of the TURMO III C4 Turbojet Engine,Be familiar with all helicopter versions available,Acquire theoretical and practical proficiency of the autonomous NADIR type MARK 1 navigation system specific to the ICAO PUMA,Address the principle of GNSS breakthroughs,Identify in theory and in practice the key points of a pre-flight cabin inspection and an APDV according to the technical documentation,

Notice: This training is intended for companies wishing to upgrade the skills of their employees. If you are a private individual you will not be able to follow this training. However, NOVAE offers training courses for individuals in the aeronautical maintenance sector.

Training course content

Functional analysis of all PUMA systems in association with the crew manual,

Location and study of theoretical and practical systems on the aircraft,

Use of a Virtual Maintenance Trainer for the avionics systems,

Study of performance, limitations, failures and fuel management by an experienced crew member,

Introduction to pre-flight and post-flight visits,

Analysis of optional features specific to the machine type.

Audience

Army pilots and crew mechanics as part of a machine conversion. Pilots and ab-initio crew mechanics as part of a first helicopter type rating.

Method of Distribution and validation of learning

Interactive presentations, practical maintenance tasks, use of a maintenance simulator.
